Trojans Suffer First Conference Setback With Home Loss To Bears; 4-0

ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson (2-3-1, 1-1-1 SAC) had trouble gaining any offensive momentum suffering it first South Atlantic Conference loss, 4-0, versus Lenoir-Rhyne (4-0-3, 3-0 SAC) on Wednesday evening at Spero Financial Field.

The Bears scored just inside the six-minute mark in the first half and scored three more times in the second half of action to set the final score, 4-0.

Anderson did manage to take 12 shots with five coming on goal, but just couldn't connect on any runs to mount a comeback.

Lenoir-Rhyne's offense totaled 13 shots with seven coming on goal. The Bears also took nine corner kicks to the Trojans one.

Anderson's Victoria McGovern recorded three saves in 69 minutes of play while AU's junior Macy McDufford played the final 20 minutes with no save opportunities.

Anderson will travel to Limestone on Wednesday. Kick-off is slated for 5 pm.
