Lions felled by Anderson on the road
The Mars Hill men's basketball team (6-17, 4-17 SAC) was defeated by Anderson (13-11, 9-11 SAC) by a score of 90-56 Saturday afternoon on the road.
ANDERSON, S.C. - The Mars Hill men's basketball team (6-17, 4-17 SAC) was defeated by Anderson (13-11, 9-11 SAC) by a score of 90-56 Saturday afternoon on the road.
The Lions trailed 45-34 after the first half. Kendall Davis led the team with seven points while Kadyn Dawkins scored six. Marvin Hires led the team with five rebounds. Sam Perez led the Trojans with 11 points while the team shot over 61 percent from the floor.
In the second half, Anderson continued their hot shooting, hitting 60 percent of their shots, netting another 45 points. Dawkins led the Lions with eight points in the half as they scored just 22 points.
Dawkins led the Lions with 14 points in the contest followed by nine from Dinari Boykin. Both Kendall Davis and Kory Davis scored seven points for Mars Hill.
The Lions return home to Chambers Gymnasium on Wednesday, February 19 when they host Tusculum. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
