Queens' Wolkenhauer Named South Atlantic Conference Astroturf Women's Runner of the Week and USTFCCCA Division II National Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com)– The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week in meets competed in during the second week of the 2019 season. Queen's Hannah Wolkenhauer was named the runner of the Week.
Wolkenhauer, a senior all-American from Lincoln, Nebraska, competed in the Cal State San Marcos Cougar Challenge this past weekend, where she raced her way to victory in the women's 6k with a time of 21:08.4. She also helped lead the 20th-ranked Royals to a third-place place finish overall. Wolkenhauer proves that after sitting out last season due to an injury, she is back and better than ever, as she also receives this week's USTFCCCA Division II National Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
This is Wolkenhauer's first Runner of the Week honor for the 2019 season.
