The South Atlantic Conference Announces Week Seven Astroturf Volleyball Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com)– The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Volleyball Players of the week for matches played during the seventh week of the 2019 season. Queens Casey Tarvin takes Player of the Week honors, while Anderson's Emily Conlin was named Specialist of the Week.

Tarvin, a junior outside hitter, helped lead the Royals to a 2-0 record in conference play this weekend. She tallied 24 kills and 17 digs in a four-set win over Tusculum and 29 kills and 24 digs in total on the weekend. The Royals are tied for second place in SAC standings, with an (11-2 SAC) record helping Tarvin to earn her second consecutive Player of the Week honor this season.

 A senior setter from Glendale, Az. Conlin helped lead the Trojans to a 3-0 (2-0 SAC) on the week averaging 11.60 assists per set totaling 116 assists. She averaged nearly 39 assists and more than 12 digs in matches against Lenoir-Rhyne and Mars Hill. Conlin earned her 10th double-double of the season while equaling her season-high 54 assists and coming up with 14 digs and four service aces in her match against Mars Hill. She continues to lead the conference in both assists (731) and assists per set (11.08/set). This is Conlin's fourth Specialist of the Week Honor this season.
