The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, March 6

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Newberry's Elizabeth Williamson has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 27^th-Mar. 6^th, the League announced today.

Williamson, a senior from Canterbury, New Zealand, went 2-0 at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles to lead Newberry to an undefeated 2-0 week. With wins against Catawba, Williamson achieved a 6-4, 6-1 victory in singles play. She paired with Amanda Carrillo for 8-3 and 8-5 wins in doubles play. She now sits at 12-0 in singles play and 11-1 in doubles play this season. The honor marks her second Player of the Week selection this season.
