The South Atlantic Conference Posts Three Women’s Soccer Teams in the NCAA Division II Regional Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted two teams in the NCAA Southeast Region Women's Soccer Rankings, the NCAA announced today. Carson-Newman came in at No. 3, Queens sits at No. 4, and Wingate enters the ranks rounding out the list for the South Atlantic Conference at No. 8.
Carson-Newman is currently ranked No. 2 in the nation by the United Soccer Coaches poll.
The Eagles finished the regular season atop the South Atlantic Conference Standings with an overall record of 14-0-1, while the Royals finished 10-2-2 on the year. Wingate finished the regular season 9-3-0.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
