The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during Feb. 4 through Feb. 10. Coker's Faith Kent collected the offensive award, while Lenoir-Rhyne's Teanna Sieben garnered the defensive honor.
A redshirt senior attack, Kent tied the Coker record for goals in a game (9) and recorded the second-highest point total in a game (13) in the 26-22 loss to Palm Beach Atlantic. The Winter Springs, Fla. native also collected four assists, controlled two draws in her dominant performance. This is Kent's second Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
In her collegiate debut in goal, Sieben was crucial in the defense of the Bears 16-13 road win at Belmont Abbey. The Saskatchewan, Canada native played the entire second half and collected nine saves, allowing six goals, to hold the Crusaders at bay. This is Sieben's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
