The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Coker attack Faith Kent has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, and Queens goalie Chase Brokaw has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played April 9-15, the League announced today. 

Kent, a junior from Winter Springs, Fla., had an outstanding week as she led the Cobras to a pair of SAC victories. For the week, she scored 14 goals with six assists for 20 points, while adding seven ground balls, 18 draw controls and four caused turnovers. She netted five goals with an assist in the Cobras' 16-15 win over Wingate, and she scored nine goals and assisted on five others in Coker's 23-22 win over Mars Hill.

Brokaw, a sophomore from Sykesville, Md., picked up two wins in the goal last week for the Royals. Queens defeated Newberry and Catawba to clinch a first-round bye in the upcoming SAC Women's Lacrosse Championship. Brokaw allowed just two goals with four saves in the win over Newberry, and she made nine saves and allowed 10 goals versus Catawba. For the week, she allowed 12 goals with 13 saves and had a save percentage of 52.

This is the second Player of the Week selection for Kent this season, while this marks the first time that Brokaw has earned Player of the Week honors.
