Queens Sweeps SAC Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards
Queens freshman Abigail Paulus and junior Danielle Horoschak have been selected as the SAC women’s lacrosse weekly award winners after the Royals split matches with Coker and Regis.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Queens freshman Abigail Paulus and junior Danielle Horoschak have been selected as the SAC women's lacrosse weekly award winners after the Royals split matches with Coker and Regis.
SAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week | Abigail Paulus, Queens
Paulus totaled five goals and three assists and had a 55.6-percent shooting accuracy last week for Queens. She posted a goal and an assist on Monday in the Royals' 11-6 loss to Regis, then recorded four goals and two assists in a 14-8 conference win over Coker on Wednesday.
Paulus also picked up three ground balls and forced a turnover last week. She leads the SAC with 19 goals and is tied for the league lead with seven assists.
SAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week | Danielle Horoschak
Horoschak made 18 saves and posted a 56.2-percent save percentage last week as Queens went 1-1 as a team.
In the loss to Regis, the junior made 15 saves had a save percentage of 57.7-percent. Shen then made three saves and allowed just three goals in Queens' conference-opener win against Coker.
On the season, Horoschak leads the conference with 51 saves, and her 51.0-percent save percentage is the league's second-best.
