Lenoir-Rhyne's Suddreth Named AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during Dec. 3 through Dec. 9. Lenoir-Rhyne's Madi Suddreth garnered the Player of the Week honor.
A senior forward, Suddreth led the Bears to a three point upset at No. 20/23 Carson-Newman, ending the Eagles' 27-game home winning streak. The Taylorsville, N.C. native dropped 30 points, the second-most in a single game in her career. Suddreth shot almost 60 percent from the field and 90 percent from the free-throw line. She also collected seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks. Lenoir-Rhyne's win at Carson-Newman was the first victory in Jefferson City since Feb. 8, 2014. This is Suddreth's first Player of the Week honor of the season.
