Tusculum's Beason Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets competed in during the week of Oct. 15 through Oct. 21. Tusculum's Jackson Beason was named the runner of the week.
Beason, a sophomore from Maryville, Tenn., took home top honors at the Lenoir-Rhyne Classic, crossing the finish line at 25:22.22 in the 8k event. His time was the fourth fastest in Pioneer men's cross country history. Beason also helped lead Tusculum to a second place finish as a team.
This is Beason's first Runner of the Week honor this season.
