Queens' Wallis Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets competed in during the week of Oct. 1 through Oct. 7. Queens University of Charlotte's. Daniel Wallis was named the runner of the week.
Wallis, a senior from Guildford, United Kingdom, paced the No. 11 Royals to a second place finish at the Lewis Conference Crossover last week. He placed sixth overall, posting a time of 24:51.7 in the 8k event. As a team, Queens finished ahead of five other nationally ranked teams, including No. 7 CSU-Pueblo, No. 8 Southern Indiana and No. 10 Western Oregon.
This is Wallis's first Runner of the Week honor this season.
