Crifasi, Griewisch Earn 2011’s Final Runner of the Week Awards
After strong performances in the final week of the 2011 SAC cross country regular season, Catawba's Christian Crifasi and Lenoir-Rhyne's Kate Griewisch have been named the league's Runners of the Week.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - After strong performances in the final week of the 2011 SAC cross country regular season, Catawba's Christian Crifasi and Lenoir-Rhyne's Kate Griewisch have been named the league's Runners of the Week.
This is Griewisch's fourth Runner of the Week distinction of 2011, while Crifasi has now earned the honor twice.

Crifasi won Wingate's Pre-Conference Invitational 5k meet with a time of 16:11, finishing 21 seconds ahead of the second-place runner.
His performance helped Catawba finish 3rd as a team at the event.
Griewisch finished second out of 177 runners at the Blue Ridge Open in Boone, N.C. She finished with a 5K time of 17:54, behind only Wake Forest's Nicole Irving in a field that featured several Division I opponents.
Behind Griewisch's strong showing, L-R placed 16th as a team in the race.
Crifasi, Griewisch and the rest of the conference will compete in the 2011 Food Lion SAC Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Panther Creek State Park in Morristown, Tenn. More information on the event can be found at SAC Championship Central.
