Queens In Control After First Day Of The 2018 SAC Outdoor Track And Field Championships
The Royals lead both the men’s and women’s competitions entering the final day.
Charlotte, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field teams both stand at the top of the leaderboard after day one of the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Championships at the Irwin Belk Complex on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University on Thursday (April 19).
In the javelin throw, the Royals took the top three spots on both sides with Ella Fox (women) and Ricko Meckes (men) capturing first-place honors.
Anton Epp won the men's long jump while Tom Bains earned league medalist honors in the men's 10,000-meter run for Queens.
Following the Royals, are the Wingate Bulldogs in second place in both meets, while the Carson-Newman Eagles are in third in both meets as well.
The 2018 SAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships will wrap-up on Friday (April 20) at the Irwin Belk Complex.
