Wingate Tabbed as Men's Indoor Track & Field Favorites in Preseason Coaches' Poll Release

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The Wingate Bulldogs have been picked as the 2024-25 preseason Men's Indoor Track and Field favorite according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll, released today (December 5).

The Bulldogs received 12 first-place votes and 144 points in the preseason poll.

Lenoir-Rhyne earned the second spot with one first-place vote and 132 points, while Anderson placed third with 112 points followed by Tusculum at No. 4 with 109 points.

Catawba and Carson-Newman tied at No. 5 with 97 points each, while Lincoln Memorial and Limestone tied for seventh with 65 points. Newberry took the ninth slot with 60 points.

Mars Hill landed at No. 10 in the poll with 42 points, while Emory & Henry took the No. 11 spot with 41 points. Rounding out the poll at No. 12 and No. 13 was Coker with 30 points and UVA Wise with 20 points.

In addition to the preseason poll, the SAC also released the Indoor Track & Field Athletes to Watch list. This list includes the top athletes from each school to keep an eye on during the 2024-25 indoor track & field season. The full list of athletes to watch is listed below by team.

The 2024-25 Indoor Track & Field season will begin this weekend and will continue until the 2025 SAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. Mar. 1-2.
