Carson-Newman's Van Dalen Named South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –Carson-Newman's Marnix Van Dalen has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week eight of the 2024 season, the Conference announced today.

Van Dalen, a junior from the Netherlands, was instrumental in leading the Eagles to a 2-0 SAC record last week with wins over Anderson (7-0) and Coker (5-2). He picked up wins at No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles, winning 6-0 against Anderson in doubles, and 7-5 against Coker. At No. 1 singles, Van Dalen earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Anderson and a 6-1, 6-2 win over Coker.
