NCAA Releases Division II Men's Tennis Regional Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Four South Atlantic Conference men's tennis teams were named in the NCAA Division II southeast region rankings. Wingate takes the No. 3 slot and Queens is seeded No. 6. Lenoir-Rhyne and Anderson round out the top-10 in the region at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively.
The Bulldogs (18-3, 9-1 SAC) are on a four-match win streak, including taking home the SAC Championship title over nationally and regionally-ranked Queens. Wingate moved up two spots nationally to be ranked No. 7 across Division II.
The Royals (14-5, 8-2 SAC) lost in the finals as the No. 2 seed to nationally and regionally-ranked Wingate. Queens rose three places in the ITA national poll to No. 16 in the division.
The Bears (18-4, 8-2 SAC) fell in the conference semifinals to Queens and fell one mark in the national poll to No. 22.
The Trojans (13-8, 6-4 SAC) advanced to the semifinals before falling to the eventual champions and are ranked No. 34 in the country.
