Six SAC Men's Teams and Two Individuals Ranked in Latest Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division II National Rankings
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association and Oracle unveiled the latest Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division II National Rankings on Wednesday and the South Atlantic Conference is well represented.
TEMPE, Ariz. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association and Oracle unveiled the latest Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division II National Rankings on Wednesday and the South Atlantic Conference is well represented.
The computerized rankings publish the Top 50 men's and women's teams. ITA member coaches have access to the unpublished rankings (teams outside the Top 50). Prior to the shift to computerized rankings, a national rankings panel voted on the Top 25 teams.
Six SAC schools were ranked in the Top 50 men's teams with Wingate leading the way at No. 10. Anderson came in at No. 23, followed by Queens at No. 28. Tusculum earned the No. 42 spot, with Newberry coming in at No. 44 and Coker at No. 46.
National singles and doubles rankings were also updated for men and Wingate's Daniel Belsito was ranked No. 13 individually, while he and doubles partner Josh Dutoit were ranked No. 15 as a doubles team.
National rankings will be released every Wednesday for the remainder of the 2018 season.
