The South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for the 2017 SAC Men's Tennis Championship
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens won its first-ever South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Regular Season Title, it was determined today as the Conference season concluded this afternoon. The Royals finished the season with an 11-0 record in SAC play to earn the No. 1 seed in next week's South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Championship.
Wingate came in at the No. 2 seeds with a 10-1 record in League play, while Lincoln Memorial placed No. 3 in the standings with a 9-2 SAC record. Anderson and Newberry closed out its regular season slates with identical 7-4 records. The Trojans defeated the Wolves in the regular season to break the tie and pick up the No. 4 seed, leaving Newberry at the No. 5 position. Tusculum closed out the seeds with a 6-5 record in South Atlantic Conference action to pick up the No. 6 slot.
Queens and Wingate each earned a bye to semifinals. The tournament will take place at the Rock Hill Tennis Center in Rock Hill, S.C. with the quarterfinals getting underway on Thursday, April 20. The semifinals will be played on April 21 and the tournament will conclude with the finals on April 22. The tournament schedule is listed:
