Queens' Diankulu Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens forward Lewis Diankulu has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played December 17 through January 1, the Conference announced today.
Diankulu, a senior from Mississauga, Ontario, led the Royals to 96-79 win over Coker in South Atlantic Conference action during the holiday break. He scored a career-high 34 points, while hauling in 10 rebounds with two blocks and a steal in the victory. With the win, the No. 17 Royals took sole possession of first place in the SAC standings. Diankulu was 14-of-18 from the field (77.8 percent) and hit 85.7 percent from the free-throw line. The double-double was his third of the season and he became the first Royals player to score 30 or more points since Dec. 9, 2015.
This is Diankulu's first Player of the Week selection this season.
