Queens' Carr Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens guard Daniel Carr has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played December 3 through December 9, the Conference announced today.
Carr, a junior from North Augusta, S.C., led the Royals to a 2-0 record last week, including a 90-62 win over Lincoln Memorial. In his first game of the week, Carr poured in 20 points with five rebounds and eight assists in a 92-72 win over Virginia Union. He followed that performance with 22 points, 15 of which came from long range, in the Royals' win over LMU. With the win, Queens snapped LMU's 36-game SAC win streak. For the week, Carr averaged 21 points, with 2.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists, while shooting 50 percent from the field, 60 percent from three-point range and 100 percent from the free-throw line.
This is Carr's first Player of the Week selection this season.
