Three South Atlantic Conference Schools Ranked in Top 5 of NCAA Southeast Region Men's Basketball Poll
Lincoln Memorial earned the No. 1 spot in the poll, followed by Queens at No. 2 and Carson-Newman came in at No. 5.
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference earned three of the top five spots in the NCAA Southeast Region Men's Basketball poll, which was released by the NCAA on Wednesday (Feb. 21). Lincoln Memorial earned the No. 1 spot in the poll, followed by Queens at No. 2 and Carson-Newman came in at No. 5.
The Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial earned the top spot with a 23-1 overall record and are ranked No. 1 in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) national poll.
The Royals of Queens have an overall record of 25-1 and are ranked No. 2 in the latest NABC national poll.
The Carson-Newman Eagles have an overall record of 21-5.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
