Limestone's De Graaf Named South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Academic Excellence Award Winner
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Limestone field hockey midfielder, Myrlin De Graaf was honored as the first-ever South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Academic Excellence Award winner for field hockey during the inaugural South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Field Hockey Championship on Friday (Nov. 16).
This award honors the student-athlete with the top cumulative grade-point average (based on a minimum of 48 credit hours) competing at the final site of the league's championship sports.
De Graaf, a junior from Tiburg, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands, has a 3.95 cumulative GPA and is a Mathematics major at Limestone.
A defensive midfielder for the Saints, De Graaf started in 10 of 18 games this season, recording an assist while helping limit opponents to just 27 goals.
