Lenoir-Rhyne's Clifton Earns CoSIDA Google Cloud NCAA Division II Football Academic All-America® Honors
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne's Ronnie Clifton has been named to the CoSIDA Google Cloud NCAA Division II Football Academic All-America® second team, it was announced on Tuesday (Dec. 11).
Clifton, a junior offensive lineman from Front Royal, Va., sports a 3.88 grade point average while majoring in finance and business management. He played in all 14 games for the Bears this season and helped guide them to the 2018 SAC Championship and a perfect 9-0 record.
He was the 2018 SAC Football Elite 20 winner and was a First Team Academic All-District® selection as well.

The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Volleyball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
