Three SAC Baseball Student-Athletes Named to All-Coastal Plain League Teams
HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. - On Thursday (Aug. 23), the Coastal Plain League announced the 2018 All-CPL First and Second teams. Each team features 25 players: one player per each infield position, four designated hitter/utility players, five outfielders, seven starting pitchers and four relief pitchers.
Three players representing South Atlantic Conference schools were named to the All-CPL teams. Catawba designated hitter/utility player Hunter Shepherd was a first team All-CPL selection, while Mars Hill designated hitter/utility player Daniel Vitello and Newbery outfielder Danton Hyman were both second team All-CPL selections.
