Four SAC Student-Athletes Drafted in 2018 Major League Baseball Draft
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) - Four South Atlantic Conference baseball student-athletes were drafted during the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft on Tuesday and Wednesday (May 5-6).
Carson-Newman third baseman and All-SAC selection Brett Langhorne was the highest pick in the SAC. He was drafted 292nd overall in teh 10th round by the Atlanta Braves.

Lenoir-Rhyne outfielder and All-SAC pick Justin Dean was picked up in the 17th round, 502nd overall, also by the Atlanta Braves.

The Pittsburg Pirates drafted Carson-Newman right-hander and All-SAC honoree Will Gardner in the 21st round, 624th overall.

The fourth and final draft pick from the SAC was Lenoir-Rhyne right-hander Landon Whitson. The All-SAC selection was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 25th round as the 759th overall pick.
