ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University women's tennis team was able to capture its third win on the young season blanking nonconference opponent Belmont Abbey, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon at the AU Tennis Complex.

In the doubles portion, all three flights grabbed a point to put the Trojans ahead 3-0. No. 1 tandem Laura Dean and Jacqueline Olivia defeated Teagan McNamara and Riley Ellingson, 8-1, while No. 2 paring Ivey Welborn and Victoria Wuilloud defeated Blair Boatright and Alex Weber, 8-1. In the No. 3 slot, Delaney Wiggins and Hannah Weaver won over Erica Dorn and Erika Noblett, 8-3.

The Black and Gold swept the singles action to set the final score at 9-0.

Anderson is back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 27 when it travels to Wingate to open up South Atlantic Conference play. First-served is slated for 1 p.m.
