Trojans Suffer Setback against Queens; 7-2

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's tennis team fell, 7-2 against South Atlantic Conference opponent Queens on Saturday afternoon at the AU Tennis Center.

With the setback, the Trojans fall to 13-4 overall and 3-3 in conference play while Queens moves to 8-1 overall and remain perfect (6-0) in SAC action.

The Royals swept all three double matches using that momentum to win four out of the six singles matches to claim the victory. AU's Jeffery Dayton easily defeated his opponent, 6-0 6-3 to claim one point for the Trojans. Freshman Preston Morpeth battled from a set down to earn the only other point of the day.

The Trojans continue conference play when they travel SAC opponent Brevard on Monday. First serve is slated for Noon.
