Oehlhof Named South Atlantic Conference Coordinator of Strategic Communications
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference welcomes Brittany Oehlhof as the league's new Coordinator of Strategic Communications, the conference office announced this week.
Oehlhof joins the SAC staff after completing her collegiate athletic and academic career at Belmont Abbey College. A four-year member of the Crusader volleyball team, Oehlhof interned with the Belmont Abbey athletic communications staff during her tenure, serving as the Social Media Coordinator from January 2018-May 2019. During her time as the Social Media Coordinator, Oehlhhof created the Crusader Rundown and helped manage multiple Abbey Athletics social media accounts.
According to SAC Commissioner Patrick Britz, "Brittany's experience in the field of athletic communications, and as a former student-athlete, will be an asset to our staff and allow us to continue to better serve our membership. We look forward to her joining our staff."
In addition to her work in Abbey Athletics, Oehlhof serves as an assistant coach for the Carolina Union Volleyball Club based in Charlotte, N.C. She was the vice president of the Belmont Abbey Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was the SAAC Director of Social Media.
Oehlhof will assist in the day-to-day communication and media relations for the SAC office, as well as assisting in all areas of graphic design. She will also assist in the production of SAC video features, including the "SAC Daily Dose", a tri-weekly video recap of the conference's athletic events. She will begin her duties as the Coordinator of Strategic Communications at the SAC on August 1.
