Bio

Kayla Adams begins her third year with the The South Atlantic Conference.  It marks her second year as as the Director of Internal Operations and Administration.   Adams spent the 2015-16 academic year as the Administration Intern.   Adams graduated from Guilford College and recently earned her masters degree in sports management from Wingate University.

  Adams spent the past year as the Administration Intern for the South Atlantic Conference.  In her full-time position, Adams is charged with maintaining and monitoring day-to-day business operations of the League office, in addition to serving as the office manager and assisting with compliance and championships.  She coordinates and processes payments of officials as well as administers the League’s national letters of intent and medical hardship waivers.  Adams also serves as the director of the South Atlantic Conference tennis championship.

Prior to her internship with the South Atlantic Conference, Adams served the YMCA in Charlotte, N.C. as the Corporate and Adult Sports Coordinator.  She has also spent time as intern with the Guilford College Media Relations Department, the North Carolina Amateur Athletic Union and the Greensboro Sports Commission.

During her time at Guilford, Adams was a star on the Quakers’ women’s basketball team as she finished her career tied for No. 1 on the school’s all-time list for appearances with 112 games played.  A four time Guilford College Student-Athlete Honor Roll recipient, she closed out her playing career fifth all-time with 122 career triples.  She scored 621 points for the Crimson and Grey while earning Dean’s List honors all four years of her career.  A Co-Captain during her senior year, Adams helped her squad to three 20-plus win seasons, two Old Dominion Athletic Conference crowns and a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances.

Adams resides in Rock Hill, S.C. with her pup John-Joh
